One in Hope & DoctrineBook Examines History of Baptist Fundamentalism

SCHAUMBURG, Ill.—A new book by Kevin Bauder and Robert Delnay that examines the origins of Baptist fundamentalism from 1870 to 1950 is now available for order at www.RBPstore.org.  Orders will be shipped no later than July 1.

One in Hope and Doctrine looks at the rise of the Northern Baptist Convention and its fragmentation during the 1930s, tracing the subsequent formation of Conservative Baptists and Regular Baptists. The book also explores the southern legacy of Baptist leaders J. Frank Norris and John R. Rice.

Written in a careful and accessible style, this book fills a void for pastors, students, and church members who want to learn more about a unique ecclesiastical and theological tradition. Rich in primary sources and new research, One in Hope and Doctrine will become an important resource for church historians.

Kevin Bauder (DMin, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School; PhD, Dallas Theological Seminary) is research professor of systematic theology at Central Baptist Theological Seminary, Minneapolis. He also wrote Baptist Distinctives and New Testament Church Polity.

Robert Delnay (ThD, Dallas Theological Seminary) has recently retired after 50 years of teaching historical theology and researching American fundamentalism.
