Big Crowds Attend RBP Reception

Reception_inlineA maxed-out crowd enjoyed ice cream, games and prizes during the Regular Baptist Press reception on Monday night.

“Late Night with RBP” kicked-off immediately following the evening session with a sundae bar, brownies, and lemonade. What started off with only a few guests quickly turned into a large crowd. Manning Brown, RBP marketing director and emcee for the evening, “herded” conference attendees to the farm-themed reception by ringing a cowbell. “We wanted to have a fun venue through which to introduce new products and RBP’s 2016 VBS, ‘Cow-a-bunga Farms: Growin’ with Our Faithful God,’” Brown said. “What better way than a barnyard setting!” There were Bible trivia questions with farm-themed prizes and giveaways. Nathan Gast, pastor of Urbandale (Iowa) Baptist Church, won a $250 gift certificate for use at the RBP bookstore.

In addition, a photo stage was set up where kids and families could take pictures with a farm-themed background and props. The photo booth will be available all throughout the week of the conference. Attendees who take photos at the VBS booth are encouraged to post them on social media with the hashtag #vbs16. One randomly selected entrant will win a free 2016 VBS kit.

The evening was a great success with many staying late, talking with RBP staff and other guests.

VBS 2016 is now available for pre-order. It (and all other RBP products) can be found at www.rbpstore.org.

Great time at the RBP reception. Excited to announce some new initiatives and highlight some of our great resources!
