Women’s Renew Conference with Jeannie Vogel

retreat_inlineVENTURA, Iowa—Author Jeannie Vogel spoke at the Women’s Renew Conference, hosted by Iowa Regular Baptist Camp. The conference is an annual event of the Iowa Association of Regular Baptist Churches. Over 400 women attended Sept. 9 and 10 at the camp’s beautiful facility on the north shore of Clear Lake.

Vogel, who holds a masters in Biblical studies from Clarks Summit University, drew from her book Our Sovereign God: The Book of Ezra to speak to the ladies during main sessions and workshops. She challenged attendees to be “women of unshakable faith—unafraid to take action, boldly proclaiming God’s truth, and watching for the mighty acts of our sovereign God.”

Also leading workshops were Joan Tillotson, wife of Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary President Dr. Jim Tillotson, and Tim and Sandy Capon, IARBC state representative and his wife. “The goal of the weekend,” Sandy Capon says, “was to provide facilities and activities to help women of all ages have a relaxing and spiritually refreshing weekend.”

Vogel serves as the women’s and senior adult ministries coordinator for the Northeast Fellowship of Independent Baptist Churches, of which her husband, Jim, is executive director. She is also author of Accepting the Challenge: Leadership Lessons from the Life of Moses and Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John.
