Iowa Churches Explore Kids4Truth Clubs

NEWTON, Iowa—Four Iowa churches met at Immanuel Baptist Church in Newton to learn about Kids4Truth Clubs with Marrena Ralph, clubs program specialist. One church has used the program since 2012 but had never attended a Kids4Truth Clubs training event. The other three churches are initiating the program this fall.

During the training, participants learned the history of Kids4Truth Clubs, gained a better understanding of the foundational curriculum, walked through a TruthBook and its components, and worked through schedules, awards, and record keeping. Marrena also shared tips on how the program can be tailored for individual church use and answered questions unique to each church.

Ken and Sandra Van Loon, pastor and wife of the host church, appreciated Marrena’s willingness to explain the program and take time to work with them to tailor it to their church’s needs. Immanuel decided to switch to Kids4Truth Clubs after another children’s program became too expensive. They say Marrena did an excellent job, and “for those interested in the program, they need to contact Marrena. What a blessing!”

Cindy Griepentrog was another attendee. Her church, North Court Baptist, is launching Kids4Truth Clubs this fall after deciding to offer a children’s ministry on Sunday evenings. Decision makers were attracted to Kids4Truth Clubs because of its comprehensive, Biblical, and doctrinal lessons. They liked that the music, review games, and student books focus on each of 12 doctrines as children study them. “Our children need to first have the head knowledge to understand completely why we believe what we believe, which this program accomplishes,” Cindy says. Being able to teach on students’ levels, plus the fun factor, also influenced their choice of Kids4Truth Clubs.

Cindy says children’s ministry workers will greatly benefit from a Kids4Truth Clubs training session.
