BREESPORT, N.Y.—Alan Wilson, US field coordinator for Regular Baptist Press, was privileged to be part of the Northeast Fellowship’s Serve Boldly Conference. Breesport Baptist Church hosted the conference April 13.

Leaders of several churches and Christian organizations taught nearly three dozen workshops that helped church members and pastors sharpen their ministry skills and discover new way to serve.

“We were so blessed by the wonderful group of men and women who gave their time to enrich the lives of fellow believers in their area of expertise,” says Jim Vogel, executive director of the Northeast Fellowship.

One of those workshop leaders was Alan Wilson, who spoke on “10 Signs of a Quality Teacher” and “Treating Teachers as VIPs.” He also displayed resources from Regular Baptist Press and gave away an introductory kit for RBP’s 2019 Vacation Bible School program, Giddyup Junction: Taking God’s Love to New Frontiers.

Another workshop leader was Lee Kliewer, a contributing author in Vogel’s book The Pastor: A Guide for God’s Faithful Servant. Kliewer spoke to pastors and deacons about building an effective leadership team and mentoring the next generation of ministers.

Jeannie Vogel led a workshop as well on women’s ministry. She is the author of Our Sovereign God, Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John, and Accepting the Challenge: Leadership Lessons from the Life of Moses.

The conference was “a full and blessed day,” Jim Vogel says. “The attendees left with some great Biblical tools and were fired up about new avenues of service in their local churches.”
