RBP Training Seminar ‘a Help to Our Church’

FT. MYERS, Fla.—Daniels Road Baptist Church hosted an RBP Training Seminar for Christian education workers from DRBC and two other local churches. The seminar featured three workshops and several opportunities to consult with representatives from Regular Baptist Press.

Tony Randolph, RBP’s business and sales director, spoke on “5 Key Components to a Successful Small Group.” The workshop was timely, as DRBC’s senior pastor, Michael Banks, was in the process of starting small groups (a.k.a. Life Groups).

Alan Wilson, RBP’s curriculum specialist, led “Revive the Sunday School” and “7 Great Aims for Teachers.” Pastor Banks’s wife, Kelly, who teaches the church’s first through third graders in Sunday School, says the training “helped our Sunday School teachers to see the importance of their ministry, to gain fresh ideas, and share ideas with others.”

Two things stood out at the Ft. Myers seminar: the good interaction among participants and Alan’s and Tony’s experience—they’re presenting substance, not theory, says Kelly. The church encourages others to host or attend an RBP Training Seminar, because, as Kelly says, “It was a help to our church.”
