Job Title: Administrative Assistant to the GARBC National Representative
Reports to: GARBC National Representative

Purpose:  To assist the GARBC National Representative of Regular Baptist Ministries

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the National Representative (NR) to ensure an efficient and effective operation of the NR office
  • Make and manage all travel arrangements for the NR
  • Manage and maintain the NR’s schedules to include scheduling speaking engagements and maintaining the NR’s office schedule
  • Assist in the preparation and/or editing of various forms of correspondence, including but not limited to articles, letters, writing projects, expense reports, and responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries
  • Attend annual Council of Eighteen meetings and the GARBC Annual Conference in person for the purpose of assisting the NR in meetings and speaking engagements and with administrative details
  • Maintain online pastoral referral programs to ensure accuracy and effective organization
  • Format and edit the NR ministry and Council of Eighteen monthly updates to ensure they are completed and disbursed in a timely manner
  • Assist with GARBC Annual Conference preparation and coordination
  • Assist with preparation for meetings, conferences, speaking engagements, and board meetings, including travel arrangements, calendar scheduling, and daily itinerary scheduling
  • Conduct research, compile information, and prepare documents or reports as needed for consideration and presentation by the NR, other ministry heads or staff, or the Council of Eighteen
  • Answer and/or return phone calls, voicemail messages, and emails for the NR as needed
  • Attend various meetings via web conferencing or phone
  • Help produce and edit various multimedia presentations to include but not limited to PowerPoint presentations, podcasts, videos, and simulcasts
  • Update and interact with GARBC social media sites and web pages

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of the churches and ministry arms of the GARBC, especially the RBP product line
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to uphold a high level of confidentiality and to apply discernment with sensitive information
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Associate degree or commensurate experience in a related field

Working Conditions:

  • Extensive computer usage
  • Some travel required annually (such as the GARBC Annual Conference and Council of Eighteen meetings)
