Cedarville University Names Two Residence Halls after RBP Authors

Cedarville University has named two of its residence halls after former faculty members: J. Murray Murdoch and Robert Gromacki. Both are Regular Baptist Press authors.

The school’s newest men’s residence hall, which opened in August, is now named Murdoch Hall, honoring J. Murray Murdoch. He served for 56 years as professor of history and government before retiring last year.

Murdoch is the author of Portrait of Obedience: The Biography of Robert T. Ketcham.

He “impacted thousands of college students and was key in developing Cedarville’s history and government department,” Cedarville says.

A campus townhouse, built in 2013, has been named Gromacki Hall in memory of Robert Gromacki, who died on March 29, 2023. He taught Bible and Greek at Cedarville for 50 years and was awarded the Faculty Scholar of the Year in the 1992–93 academic year.

Gromacki is the author of Salvation Is Forever.

He “was a renowned Biblical scholar, a beloved professor, and a dear friend to many,” Cedarville says.
