VBS Video Creates Unique Follow-up

CampPoint_thumbCAMP POINT, Ill.—Faith Baptist Church follows up with its VBS families, particularly those new to the church, in a unique way.

During the week of Vacation Bible School, Faith Baptist takes lots of pictures and then uses those pictures to create a video to show to the students and their families at Family Night, the closing program of VBS. When the week of VBS is over, the church makes DVDs of the video for everyone and includes them in a packet that it delivers to the homes of those who attended VBS but are not connected with the church.

A simple plan of salvation called “How Can I Become God’s Child?” from the Regular Baptist Press VBS materials the church uses, is printed on the back of the note.

“The gift of the DVD gives us a great way to stop by the home,” says Sandy Robbins, wife of Pastor Tom Robbins. “We are always welcome because the children are excited to get their copy of the VBS video!”
