Nearly 70 participants from across the United States took advantage of two free Regular Baptist Web Community webinars, discussing adult and youth Sunday School materials and outreach.
“Truth for Living in a Faux World,” instructed by Alex Bauman, director of Regular Baptist Press, covered the importance of connecting God’s truth to life in a world out of touch with reality.
“Webinars are a great forum that allow for unlimited outreach to discuss a wide variety of topics,” says Bauman. “In addition to being able to take advantage of multimedia presentations, the fact that they are ‘live’ allow for real-time interaction among all the participants.”
“Reaching the 4–14 Window: Catch the #KidMin Vision,” instructed by Alan Wilson, RBP regional manager, discussed ways to best capitalize on the opportunities to reach children ages 4 to 14. The webinar also served to encourage children’s ministry workers and to build excitement heading into their fall ministries.
“There were many good questions asked,” says Wilson. “So many that we ran out of time. It was clear through the amount of discussion that ministry leaders are looking for ways to better reach and teach their youth. RBP provides curriculum that can be trusted and used to develop students in their spiritual walk.”
Among the many advantages of the webinar format is the flexibility it allows. One pastor in Virginia turned the webinar into an evening event for his church. “I greatly appreciated your effort to challenge and teach my teachers,” he says. “We had a catered meal beforehand and good fellowship and a way to show our appreciation and say ‘thank you.’ I got really good mileage from your seminar.”
