From Chaplain to Bible College Administrator

Chaplain_thumbMOUNT OLIVE, W.Va.—Dr. Allen “Doug” Ferry, retired Regular Baptist chaplain and author of the RBP men’s Bible study A Man and His Country, is wearing a new title now: director and primary instructor.

His role as director includes administrating Mount Olive Bible College at the Mount Olive Correctional Complex. He and adjunct instructors are leading inmates through a four-year course that will culminate with a BA in Bible and theology. The degree will be granted through MOBC’s academic sponsor, Appalachian Bible College. While Appalachian Bible College has set the curriculum for MOBC, Ferry, as director, chooses the textbooks, including books published by Regular Baptist Press.
