Arizona Church Learns How to Better Connect with Students

BuckeyeAZ_inlineBUCKEYE, Ariz.—Alan Wilson, regional manager for Regular Baptist Press, provided a teacher-training workshop for more than 30 attendees Sept. 19 at Desert Hills Baptist Church.

Topics included “How to use RBP Curriculum Effectively,” “Be a Quality Teacher,” and “Seven Aims of Teaching.”

“I always enjoy the opportunity to lead these training sessions,” Wilson says. “I try to highlight some elements of the curriculum which maybe they didn’t realize, and also show them how they can put together a first-rate, fun, and interesting lesson. My workshops are intended to encourage and to increase teachers’ excitement for teaching God’s Word. I want their teaching time with their students to be one of the best hours of their week.”

Training included a walk-through of a teacher book, visual presentations, and class interaction. In addition to the training, attendees enjoyed fellowship afterward and were able to purchase a variety of RBP Sunday School materials and books.
