Regular Baptist Press welcomes kids to a supercharged racing experience, Rocket Racers: On Track with Our Powerful God.
Kids’ imaginations will shift into high gear as they hear the roar of the crowd and feel the thunder of supercharged engines. They’ll race through the power-filled life of Elijah and learn the important truth that in spite of adversaries and pit stops, God’s team wins in the end. At Rocket Racers, kids will learn how to get on track with God.
Students in Rocket Racers are part of a racing team, and the lessons are tied into the events of a real race:
- Ready to race: God prepares us (Elijah dwells at the brook Cherith; 1 Kings 17:1–6)
- Communication: God guides us (Elijah goes to Zarephath; 1 Kings 17:7–24)
- Showdown: God empowers us (Elijah’s showdown on Mount Carmel; 1 Kings 18:17–46)
- Pit stop: God refuels us (Elijah runs from Jezebel; 1 Kings 19:1–18)
- Race team: God invites new racers (Elijah coaches Elisha; 2 Kings 2:1–15)
