RBP Conducts Training Event in New Mexico

RIO RANCHO, N.M.—Charity Baptist Church had the opportunity to attend a teacher training workshop with two staff members of Regular Baptist Press. Tony Randolph, business director, and Alan Wilson, regional manager, led the event with over 40 people attending.

NewMexico_inlineIn his opening workshop, Wilson offered practical advice for raising the quality of a church’s teaching. Then Randolph encouraged attendees to begin starting small groups for unbelievers, new believers, men, ladies, and couples. He gave instruction on how to start, lead, facilitate, and grow a small group, as well as how to offer accountability among a small group’s members. Group discussion gave attendees time to think through what they learned and brainstorm with one anther.

The day ended with the final workshop led by Wilson. He covered teaching aims, each of which help students apply the Bible to their lives.

Pivotal to the success of the training was the setting. “I want to thank our host church and Pastor Keith Skaggs for their warm hospitality,” Wilson says. “The day was a great success.”
