Church Begins Ministry Year with Teacher Enrichment Seminar

LINCOLN, Neb.—Alan Wilson, US field coordinator for Regular Baptist Press, was the featured instructor at the Temple Baptist Church’s Teacher Enrichment Seminar.

On the morning of Aug. 25, teachers from the church and four sister churches gathered for three hours of continuing education on three topics: “Ten Qualities of Effective Teachers,” “Seven Great Aims for Teachers,” and “Reviving the Sunday School.” Interspersed throughout the morning were opportunities for fellowship. A question-and-answer session wrapped up the event.

Pastor Jeremy Penrod says Alan “is very gifted in recognizing and meeting the needs of churches in their endeavor to communicate the Word of God to all ages in a variety of settings.”

Temple Baptist Church hosts the seminar at the start of each new ministry year to sharpen teachers’ skills. Pastor Penrod says, “We were greatly blessed by Alan’s ministry with us here in Lincoln!”
