RBP Author Accepts Position at Baptist Bible College

Mel Walker, author of  Impacting the Next Generation, Mentoring the Next Generation, and Reaching the Next Generation, has been named vice president for alumni and church relations at Baptist Bible College and Seminary, Clarks Summit, Pa.

Mel was previously director of student ministries at Regular Baptist Press and president of Vision for Youth, an international network for youth ministry, and is now returning to his alma mater as an employee. He earned a BRE from Baptist Bible College in 1976 and an MMin from the seminary in 1996.

After serving as a youth pastor in Michigan for several years, Mel taught youth ministry courses and served in various administrative roles at FBBC and BBC&S. He currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at BBS and Word of Life Bible Institute in Germany. In his new role, Mel will expand the influence of BBC&S with youth leaders and alumni and in church relations, growing existing efforts and supporting enrollment and advancement areas.

Mel attends Heritage Baptist Church, Clarks Summit, Pa., where he is a deacon and leads a ministry to college students.
