Scott Poling Speaks at Conference for Pastors

Poling_thumbOSWEGO, Ill.—Scott Poling facilitated his church’s conference for pastors. The two-day M4: Ministry Enrichment Conference at Harvest New Beginnings offered encouragement, inspiration, wisdom, and friendship for pastors in a unique format that allowed them to brainstorm and share their experiences.

Poling, pastor at Harvest New Beginnings for 20 years and a contributing author in RBP’s The Pastor: A Guide for God’s Faithful Servant, has “a unique perspective on ministry and leadership which allows him to speak into pastors’ lives.” He led the men through a two-part session on Elijah, teaching them how to climb out of the valleys of fear, loneliness, despair, and self-pity.

M4Conf2_leadPoling “knows what it’s like to be the only pastor in a very small church answering the phone and opening the mail,” the church says. “He also knows what it’s like to practice delegation and oversight of a larger staff. He understands the pressures of ministry and all the criticisms that come with it.”

Planning is already underway for next year’s M4 conference, to be held Nov. 7 and 8.
