Jim edited The Pastor: A Guide for God’s Faithful Servant and previously wrote a column for pastors in the Baptist Bulletin magazine. He pastored churches for 30 years, served as the associate national representative of Regular Baptist Churches, and is executive director of the Northeast Fellowship, a network of independent Baptist churches. He brought his expertise and experience to the All-Partners Conference, where he spoke about the nature of believer’s baptism and its place in the local church. “In light of the current trends to minimize doctrine in general and the doctrine of the church in particular, I believe we need to affirm what the Bible teaches about church ordinances and why it matters,” he says.

Jeannie has written three books available from Regular Baptist Press: Our Sovereign God, a study of Ezra; Accepting the Challenge, a study on leadership based on the life of Moses; and Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John, an evangelistic Bible study. She spoke in a women’s workshop called “Be Prepared: A Primer on 1 Peter 3:15,” on the necessity and practicalities of planning ahead to share the gospel in a variety of settings. She says that without preparation, Christians will lose many opportunities for spiritual impact.

After the conference, the Vogels will participate in meetings of the New Testament Baptist Association and its training school in Manipur, India.
