Training Events Still Prove ‘Invaluable,’ ‘Profitable’

Taylors, S.C.—Now that summer VBS programs are complete, churches across the country have been using the end of summer to gear up for their fall children’s ministries. Faith Baptist Church of Taylors is no exception. Having decided to implement Kids4Truth Clubs at their church, Faith Baptist joined scores of other ministries interested in training their volunteer team.

Kids4Truth Clubs provides four main options for training—including in-person events. In 2021, Kids4Truth Clubs has conducted five webinar-style virtual and one in-person training events with plans for up to four more events this fall. Faith Baptist chose to host an in-person regional training event taught by Marrena Ralph.

Ralph, Kids4Truth Clubs program specialist, led the morning training event, then met with club leaders in the afternoon. Faith Baptist’s student ministries pastor, Jordan Alexander, describes the training as “invaluable” and “profitable for everyone, especially the leaders.” The event was well attended, including a special appearance from Bob Roberts.

Roberts, founder of Kids4Truth International, created Kids4Truth Clubs in 2000 and turned the ministry over to Regular Baptist Press in 2016, when Kids4Truth Clubs joined the RBP family of church educational resources. His burden that young people be grounded in essential Christian truths remains strong as he has been instrumental in recent translation work of the Kids4Truth Clubs curriculum into Mandarin. Roberts attended the training with Word of Life Slavic Church, where he has been assisting with their club program.

“Marrena is a great source of information for how to implement Kids4Truth Clubs at your church,” says RBP’s marketing director, Jonathan Norris. He noted Ralph’s love for helping churches make the program flexible to fit any church’s needs. “If your ministry is making the switch to Kids4Truth Clubs as your midweek program, Marrena’s training can help you implement simple ideas to strengthen your kids’ program and, in turn, your kids’ lives.”

Due to the high demand for training, Kids4Truth Clubs has also begun providing on-demand video training courses through its EquipU Online Library website. These courses feature many of the same topics covered during a traditional training event and allow churches to customize their training experience by skipping over course lessons that aren’t pertinent to their needs.

RBP’s mission is to glorify God by providing church educational resources that are true to God’s Word and encourage maturity in Christ. Kids4Truth Clubs helps to fulfill this mission by equipping local churches, families, or ministry-minded individuals to reach kids worldwide through creatively and memorably taught doctrinal truth. Any churches interested in hosting a regional training event are encouraged to start a conversation with Ralph right away.
